I cannot thank the Brain Injury Law team enough. With back-to-back brain injuries, and an uncertain future, Sherry, Scott, and Adam were able to help with pairing the proper medical resources to treat the debilitating symptoms I was suffering from. They also went above and beyond interfacing with both insurance interests (resulting from two independent accidents), managing the ongoing letters and phone calls, allowing me more time to focus on accelerated treatment and healing. I am very grateful to Scott Blair of Brain Injury Law for agreeing to join my lawyer to help represent me in my injury case. Before I was introduced to Scott Blair, my lawyer told me he was the best Brain Injury Trial Lawyer and he would represent me like no other lawyer could. He was absolutely right! I was so impressed with Scott when we met. I felt he was very professional but not stuffy and friendly but not arrogant. I could feel he was a very caring and real person. I found him easy to talk to. That was when I knew I was lucky to have him join our team. One reason Scott was good for my case was because he knew a lot about brain injuries. That was his specialty. He followed and read any and all information he could find regarding brain injuries. I was a victim of a Van/Pedestrian accident and was the pedestrian. I was walking into work on a public sidewalk crossing in front of a garage exit. This was where the large Ford van came up out of the parking garage,hit me,threw me into the street and knocked me unconscious for 30 minutes. I was taken into the ICU at the hospital for the next 7 days. I suffered many body injuries but the worst of the injuries was the skull fracture,brain bleeds,loss of taste,loss of smell,loss of hearing and constant head pains to mention a few. Scott was very concerned about my head injury and wanted to be sure I could get the best care and treatment. He was more like a good friend and not just my lawyer. Scott and his Case Manager,Sherry Clem guided me every step of the way. Sherry was very kind, professional and helped me understand all the forms I needed to complete. She even offered to take me to my Seattle doctor appointments since I was unfamiliar with the city. Helped me understand some of the Medicare Laws and procedures. Went out of her way to make sure i understood what i needed to do, and felt comfortable. Because of my injuries, my daughter stayed close to me to make sure I understood what needed to be done. Scott always explained the trial procedures clearly so I could understand what was expected but took it a step further by explaining everything to my daughter as well without hesitation. I'm very thankful I went with Brain injury law for my concussion. Ever since the first day I called them they've gone out of their way to make me feel like they have my back. They were the only ones willing to come meet me when I wasn't able to drive because of my injury, they made time for me when no other law group did. I was in a 3 car accident while I was working and they took care of everything for me and made it all easy to deal with and understand, and when my symptoms weren't improving after some time they had a very good selection of specialists to figure out steps for moving forward. The other parties insurance tried to low ball me for settlement and brain injury law fought them and we went to arbitration where they were able to argue in my favor, leaving me with a substantially greater settlement than the initial offer. I felt like they took the time to get to know me, figure out how the concussion was affecting me, and use their knowledge and network to properly defend me from the other insurance company and get me treated and get my life back on track. Sherry was excellent at giving me updates and answering questions and keeping me in the loop of what was going on and what I had to do and she made all of the paperwork and everything super simple. The difference in quality for treatment between the doctors L&I gave me and the doctors Adam recommended is huge, the quality of care I'm receiving now makes me hopeful I can get better and start feeling like myself again. Their experience with brain injuries shows, a lot of people (myself included) aren't aware of all of the effects of brain injuries, and all of the different ways it can bubble up and drag on over time. The team took their time and kept an eye on me for symptoms and long term effects and as more symptoms came they got dealt with effectively with testing and treatment. I'd recommend them to anyone with a brain injury for their knowledge and network of doctors alone, but I was also thoroughly impressed with Adams counsel in the arbitration hearing and everything leading up to it. He called the right witnesses, found relevant examples in past cases to point to to protect me, and very professionally put all the facts on the table to prove that I deserved more than what they were trying to give me.
