A neighbor recommended this place after having a good breakfast on the week-end. We 3 gals had lunch today. I was soooooo disappointed after hearing the La Costa owners had bought it. We love LaCosta food and service. I had the "Nora's?lunch trio" The salad had old, browned long strings of green---all 3 of us had to pull out all of the old lettuce and try to cut the stringy leaves into bite size portions. The chicken pablano chowder was tasty but barely luke warm. The chicken bacon avocado1/2 sandwich was cold and bacon burned--miniscule avocado and tough chicken. The coffee was weak, tasteless and barely warm--even when I asked for a refill --still poor. We have years of memories when this place was Jim Moore's and terrific quality. Even the Mark--had decent hot food. But this is a wake-up call to the new owner's to improve--this is not the restaurant quality of La Costa!Who is supervising the kitchen and quality? Invest in good coffee--maybe ask 909 or the Tin Room or LaCosta for advice on how to serve hot food! We would love to frequent you as a neighborhood restaurant--but you MUST improve!
