Sharing on behalf of my father: Giuseppe's has long been our favorite restaurant in Bellingham and where we held our family celebrations. So it was a given that for celebrating my wife's 76 birthday we would meet our kids and grandkids there for the festivities. Giuseppe always ran a tight ship and the food and service were always excellent with him wandering among the tables to make sure everything was perfect. On this night I did not see him. When I looked at the menu I noticed that a lot of my favorite dishes were not on offer and the menu seemed to be little more than pasta. When the server came by I jokingly asked, "What did you do, shoot the chef?" She replied that the chef had left and they were very short handed. We ordered and when the food arrived one of the meals was missing and did not arrive until 10 minutes later. Two meals, including my lasagna, had been frozen and microwaved. Both were still cold. The servers were scarce and inattentive. Desserts were ordered and one grand daughter's never did arrive. Our other granddaughter observed that her dessert was purchased at Costco. Our profiteroles had to be made with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla (they ran out). I thought I would have to set off a cannon to attract a server and we were finished with dessert before one showed up. When we got the bill I was dismayed to see that they had added a 20% tip for themselves (we were a party of 6) but that was including the price on the two bottles of wine! All in all..... pitiful. Only when the meal was over did we discover that Giuseppe was retiring and had sold the restaurant to Lombardi's, an Italian restaurant with two locations in and around Everett. If this is how new management is going to perform.... good luck.

The centerpieces were dollar-tree silk flowers, there were Christmas icicle lights strung across the ceiling for what I assume was supposed to be romantic ambiance. The clearly fake Italian decor and outdated color scheme was enough on it's own, but with sub-par food as well, you'll be better off going to Olive Garden for your date night.

What a wonderful waterfront view for a romantic sunset. The staff and Giuseppe are very friendly and very helpful. They have a great private label and delicious and fresh seafood to enjoy in amazing pasta dishes. I got Giuseppe's favorite childhood dish and it was amazing, never had a Mediterranean influenced Italian dish! So great! Can't wait to go back with my pup because their patio is dog friendly.

Loved this place but the owner sold his business. Another Italian restaurant will be going in here and I have heard that some of Giuseppe's signature dishes will continue to be served here.
