I had a really great connection with my therapist, Serena, she is unbelievably talented and I spent a year working with her. I highly recommend her services. Unfortunately the admin support she receives front her "front desk" is negligent and upsetting. I could NEVER get a hold of someone regarding intermittent billing charges, and they would only call back after 7pm? My husband wanted to set up sessions with someone and he literally was not able to schedule, no one would answer the phone. I would be billed in strange batches, sometimes $60, sometimes more, never predictable monthly and it made it difficult to determine if I was being overcharged. The final straw for me was having covid and cancelling a session the day of, only to be charged $175 off my card on file. No warning, no communication that this would happen, just taken out of my account. I really hope they invest in better administrative help, their therapists deserve it.

Billing I have not been in the office since June. Please be careful and check your insurance bill. I am now being charge when my insurance shouldve taken care and well getting a hold of anyone to speak with is impossible.

Just moved to area and have been looking for a new therapist. I am familiar with the process of counseling and just had my first session with Mrs.Gastaldi and I have to say I feel much worse than before the session started.
This person was literally playing with their dog and fiddling with their phone while I was pouring out my issues, then would reply with things like "ohh that sounds tough to deal with" or "sounds like you have been through a lot" Which is the sort of feed back I would expect from a random person commenting on an social media thread not a licensed therapist who is getting paid to listen to you!! I think she literally said less than 20 words outside of the whole generic speech about what "therapy techniques" she uses.
I mentioned that I didn't feel like we were connecting in session and she seemed almost eager to dump me off onto some other therapist.
It seems like this person is just in it to collect a paycheck and doesn't actually care about engaging with clients.
Hoping other councilors at this location will be a bit more excited about their jobs, but for anyone looking to start counseling here I cant say that I recommend Mrs. Gastaldi

I started going to Optimal Life Wellness about 2.5 years ago, I was in a tough part of my life and needed a lot of guidance. I had just started grad school and was in a lot of stressful environments. Seeing Lydia as my therapist changed my life completely, I have never been able to open up to a therapist as much as Ive had with her. She validates my feelings and struggles while also holding me accountable to make the changes in my life to make it better. I did EMDR a bit, but mostly general talk therapy. Her approach to recovery worked amazingly for me and I am glad I have her support.
