Tried several classes through them over the years. The teachers were often no show. They'd cancel classes if there were 3 or less participating individuals. I'd sign up for a class only to realize it wasn't beginner it was advanced beginner. Classes were often not described in enough detail and I frequently placed my self in the wrong class level. There are zero refunds on classes even if it was partially on them. I tried returning a few things over the years and they have a horrible refund process. It generally is classified as store credit. I'd sign up for classes and be offered a refund due to class cancellation. I'd show up early and be told to wait in the lobby which was basically the shop. They would not open class doors until teacher showed up if at all. If you required a little more attention teachers would give snooty attitude about teaching the basics. Even if you signed up for a beginner, beginner class. This is why I stopped supporting Pacific Fabrics. Staff can either be really helpful or not so helpful. I found the more times I shopped here the uniqueness of the fabric choices were less and less. I use to purchase batting by the bulk and was shorted several times because they refused to fully measure it and charged full price. When I asked them to remeasure it it was too late because I took it home and they thought I was had cut some off. No they shorted me. I provided them business for about five years then found the quilt shop in Issaquah. I may have learned the basics here but I took my business to the Issaquah Quilt shop because the customer service was better and I could take more classes and feel I gained a decent amount of knowledge for the class I signed up for. Plus I like the free sewing periods that allow me to work on projects that I other wise would not have the time for. Is their google map location right? I thought they were on the other side of town? Quilt Works NW is here. I hate to say it but I'm glad they're closing.

So terribly sad! First the Northgate store closed, now this store. Now I will have to go to the SoHo store for fashion fabrics and laces & trims. I'm a garmet sewer. I've always been impressed with the fabric choices especially at the Northgate store and the knowledgeable staff.
