We are currently building our empty nest home on Orcas Island and highly recommend Richard. He has done an excellent job creating a beautiful, artistic vision for our custom project. Richard Broderick designed for us a single family house on San Juan Island. The application of his sensitivity to the natural setting, artistic vision and appreciation of functionality resulted in the most comfortable and beautiful house. Prior to construction we've heard that it was a very stressful endeavor and yet with Richard's positive attitude, flexibility and creative assistance building our own home became very rewarding. Richard Broderick's services were timely and affordable. He was attentive to every detail and worked very well with our builder providing clear instructions and clarifications as needed. His understanding of financial constrains allowed us to build on budget without compromising the aesthetics or functionality of the house.

We hired Richard to design a custom home. He did a great job of incorporating our wishes and needs into a beautiful structure that also fits well into the surrounding neighborhood. His availability, flexibility and responsiveness throughout made the process go smoothly. We get many compliments on our home from both friends and strangers. Having lived in it for almost a year, there's nothing that we feel was left out or that we would change. We heartily recommend Richard.
