I drove two hours and was pleasantly surprised! The truck was actually nicer in person than it appeared on their website! They are totally worth the drive!!!! And Debbie the owner is awesome !!

We've purchased two cars from Hess recently and a this is why you might want to consider them: all the cars on the lot were unusually clean--the owner/buyer for this small dealership has unusually high standards. He won't buy cars that have been marginalized in the typical way you see at other used car dealerships (high miles, dents, any cosmetic issues at all). Because of these high standards, there aren't a ton of cars to look at and that's a good thing. You can stop by and see everything they have in an easy hour--Low mileage cars that other dealerships want, but often don't have. We bought a 2011 Ford Ranger 4 by 4 with 38k. The price was $1,000 below Blue Book and that's what I paid. This truck is very hard to find, highly desirable and they had it. It was priced right. One owner, clean and no issues since purchase. Gary Freedman, our salesman was ideal. NO PRESSURE, as has been stated elsewhere. Gary gave me the facts on the car, handed me the keys and and suggested a route that would give me a good sense of the car. Paperwork to buy it took 15 minutes. Amazing. Same with the Subaru we bought. There's a Subaru dealership just down the street, but I doubt they had three Outbacks, 2-3 years old with low miles. Buying a late model used car has some advantages to buying a new one. You focus on the individual car the dealership has, rather than that car at a new car dealership with all the possible options, and all the other cars that are in the same category at other dealerships that you should probably check out before buying--all those countless details to sort out before the rigmarole of the negotiation. You often learn that they don't have the exact car you want, but one with all those features in the right color, that has $1,200 dollars more stuff you don't care about tacked on. If you want, you can purchase a 100,000 mile warranty good at most any garage rather than a dealership. It's about what a dealership would charge, maybe a bit less. Honest, professional, no pressure, good cars and worth a visit. You can keep an eye on their changing inventory and feel confident that if it's on their lot it's good.
