    Michael and Holly were absolutely amazing to work with. From the beginning, they made everything so easy. Although they are based out of Virginia Beach, they were able to accommodate our wedding in North East, MD and still be able to plan everything over the phone and computer. They laid out the plan and payments ahead of time. The day of, I felt like a Queen with them as my photographers. They captured every photo I wanted and more. Beautiful angles and lighting. The video was the best part. I loved every second of it. Overall, they are a perfect 10/10 duo. Absolutely recommend!!!

They were so great at making us feel comfortable in front of the camera, having ideas for what we should do, making us laugh, and encouraging us to just have a great time. Our wedding photos and engagement photos are incredible and I am so grateful for all the hard work.     My husband and I began with MC Photography for our wedding in 2017. Since then, we've had a family & maternity shoot with them. So far we have only worked with Michael, but in August we get to have the pleasure of working with both him and Holly, as they shoot our vow renewal. MC Photography has always been super amazing throughtout the years and we love working with them! If you're looking for a photographer, they're your best option!

    Holly and Michael were great from start to finish.For starters, their pricing was competitive and fair. Despite all of the hiccups that COVID caused, they remained a constant. Our wedding plans changed multiple times, and finally a month before, we scrapped our entire original plan and changed locations to my aunts back yard, outside ceremony and reception. They were open and accommodating to possible date and location changes. About 3 weeks prior to our wedding, the videographer that was included in their package I purchased (they used a 3rd party videographer) backed out. Holly and Michael stepped up and offered to do the videography themselves and even offered to pay the difference in cost to find someone else if I had preferred they not video! I had such a great experience with them so far, I chose to ride it out with them. The pictures and video turned out wonderfully. Actually, some turned out better than I had thought they would given it was raining that day. (yes, rain for an outdoor wedding). But Holly and Michael didn't complain once. Some of the reception pictures did not turn out as great, I highly recommend discussing lighting prior to or arranging for Michael and Holly to see the location at the time your wedding will be, so that they can properly plan for lighting. I did not give them much notice to work with. We had some hiccups with the finalization of the wedding video, but Michael and Holly were open to constructive criticism and made it clear that their goal was to have their customers happy with the end product. HAPPY would be an understatement. I couldn't thank them enough for capturing our day so perfectly! They truly put their heart and soul into their work, and it is SO appreciated. They made it a point to make you feel like more than just a "client".

    We had a great initial impression with Michael & Holly which is why we had chosen a package inclusive of an engagement shoot and full coverage for our wedding day. Due to weather, they were even willing to reschedule our engagement shoot to a different day despite having traveled a few hours to meet us so we were quite pleased with the customer service at the beginning. However, after we received the engagement photos, it went downhill. We had received feedback from our friends and family that the poses were repetitive and we had a few concerns of our own. I emailed them with a forward and detailed message addressing several things to include asking the future wedding photos to be more diverse in poses, to ensure the finer details like our rings were captured as my engagement ring was not, and to ask for a color copy of a B&W photo. Several of the B&W photos came with the colored version but one in particular was not. Holly was not receptive of our feedback and responded that she felt we did not trust them to capture our photos - which seems like an unreasonable response considering we should be able to voice our thoughts and preferences as the clients. So they requested a phone call - which Holly didn't even take part in. She reached out following this meeting to suggest a monthly check-in, which NEVER happened. Fast forward a few months, we had to reschedule our wedding reception due to COVID-19 and I reached out asking if they might be available in 2021 and provided a date. MC Photography responded that they were and that they would change the date in the agreement in Honeybook and that I just needed to accept. With the uncertainties of the pandemic, we were unsure of what we were going to plan in 2021 so I hadn't gone in to accept any changes to the agreement or sign anything. A few weeks following this conversation via text, I emailed them requesting to exercise the force majeure clause of the contract which allows us to cancel in the event something is out of both parties' control (I think a pandemic is a pretty good reason). Holly responded that I couldn't cancel because the new 2021 date was effective eventhough nothing was accepted or signed. She proceeded with claiming that I had agreed in a previous version but when asked to provide proof & documentation, she merely texted the date which she claimed the new date was agreed to. Meanwhile, I had provided her with screenshots of the not yet agreed to proposed changes in Honeybook and messages between us citing the date of the inquiry. Holly also requested a Zoom meeting which we agreed to. The next day, her husband emailed us stating they "discussed it and decided to void the contract." I have to point out that Michael remained professional throughout all of our exchanges. We're fortunate to have been in a situation where the contract was able to be voided because I'm not sure either parties would have particularly enjoyed another photoshoot together. MC Photography wasn't for us, but they could very well be someone else's cup of tea. Word of advice: I'd test out the engagement shoot with any photographer before locking yourself into a contract for your wedding day.
