image FYI Southstone recently admitted a violent Inmate, straight off of seg, who was denied bail due to the threat they pose to the community, her extremely violent history of causing extensive critical injury to assault victims.
She has been charged w aggrevated Capitol attempted murder after stabbing a friend 5 times almost killing her.
She doesn't even have an addiction! And she's been in jail since 11/22 not scheduled for trial until Dec 23 so somehow her lawyer got her in at Southstone for a little r&r.
She is extremely disturbed, and nowhere else in Virginia would take her. I would go back to doing drugs if my only other option was to live among this psycho or give my addiction another try.
Good luck and if you're not sentenced by a court to this so called program....get out now! No medical program invested in your sobriety would welcome this psycho straight from seg and make you share your process with a dangerous, violent psychotic person who is using Southstone as a break from jail when they aren't even an addict/alcoholic. They're literally 🤞 hoping she doesn't murder someone else.

image Wish I could give this place Zero stars. Do not send your kids here, this place is dangerous and should be shut down. My daughter was mistreated and also not given her medications at all. We picked her up after 1 week as we could tell this place was making things worse. I've filed complaints with the state and this place is under investigation. Please find somewhere else to send your kids if they need help!
Just a follow up to my previous comments. It's been a year and my daughter still has severe PTSD from this place. I honestly don't know how this place hasn't been shut down. Listening to her describe it to me sounds like something out of a horror movie.

image I was 16 and turned 17 when i was admitted here by my social worker. I’m now coming up on my 20th birthday and have my own baby girl. I STILL HAVE NIGHTMARES OF THIS PLACE. I was jumped, I had to fight over CHIPS, The “school” consisted of two “teachers” one who was only qualified to be a counselor. it was a joke to the fullest extent. i never got a full nights rest. My saving grace was in October when the judge said I could leave and go live with my grandmother. THE JUDGE DECIDED I SHOULD LEAVE BECAUSE MY KNEE WAS BUSTED AND COLLECTING FLUID FROM BEING JUMPED. I wasn’t even allowed to get my things , they had to bring them to me out at the car because that’s how violent these children are! They would have jumped me if they knew i was able to go home. I had to fight a man. I had to watch children getting beat up by teenagers because they don’t have the common sense to separate us by age groups AND BY OUR ABILITIES OF CRUELTY. . A 9 YEAR OLD HAS NO BUSINESS BEING AROUND 17 year olds. DIFFERENT LEVELS NEED TO BE SEPERATED. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE PLEASE!

image Probably the most disturbing secrets are behind these doors. I am a former resident of this facility and I am glad that I am out.
