Roanoke Medical Center for Women

This was my first experience at this place . I had drove about 3 hours to get there - the receptionist was cordial , straight forward with the information . You will see protesters out there , all day in fact up to a certain hour . They handle things up to 21 weeks , funding is available to assist . During the procedure only thing i have to highlight that was very unprofessional and lack of privacy and respect importantly was the doctor an older man answered and had a phone call during trying to get my IV in .. the nurse there had to take over . It was a bit painful , they werent really compassionate it was like i was just another woman there .. all in all they assisted to what they are there to do . Its pretty straight forward . Would never want to go there again or go through this process . Many blessings hope this helps anyone in the future . And its your choice and decision PS if its busy af you will be waiting there all day until your seen depending on how many people ahead of you . They did say the earlier the better you arrive or by 8:30 but still will pretty much be there till closing if busy on that day . Was told they only do procedures on Wednesdays only .

This was my first time having a pregnancy terminated and it was a challenge . I was very conflicted within myself but I have my reasons for why I felt like I needed to go this route. This facility was simply AMAZING. The experience of an abortion is never a good one but the staff at this clinic made it so much smoother and made me feel so comfortable. They were very compassionate and personable. The receptionist, the MA, the counselor , procedure nurse and recovery nurse (the whole staff) were truly remarkable. There are no words to explain how great they were. I am truly grateful for their services. The procedure was quick and painless and while I was very nervous and sad , the procedure nurse talked me through it and even held my hand. I would recommend this clinic to everyone. Bad communication skills. Called and made a appointment for a Saturday when I arrived for my appointment the clinic was closed and no answer. I called back the following Monday and the receptionist told me they only did procedures on Wednesdays. Dont waste your time!
