Mediocre food and extremely terrible service turned out to be entertaining for my family and I but, our good humor saved the night, not this sorry excuse for an Asian buffet. Here's a little tidbit from the night at a place my saint of a mother REFUSES to go to again, even though her favorite saying is "if at first you don't succeed, try try again." We initially wanted to go out for Mexican food but a long wait forced us to seek a meal elsewhere. How we ended up here I will never know but we gave it a shot. My mother, my two sisters, 2 y/o nephew and myself sat down for a meal. One of my sisters had eaten dinner already but just wanted to come out to eat for the company. We sat down and everyone ordered water except the baby who we ordered juice for. We stated that we were all going to eat the buffet except my one sister who had eaten. Everything's fine until we get some food which tastes pretty mediocre but we're all like screw it, just eat we already payed $11.95 for three plates of food, assuming the BABY could eat off it's mothers plate. We were all eating our wanton soup which the baby seemed to like so my sister who had eaten previously asked to taste the soup. She had one sip right when the waitress came up. Everything is fine until the same waitress comes back to the table and starts pointing and waving over the baby's head and saying "how old he?" My sister, the mother, says he is 2 years old...and she goes "oh well okay he can eat from you then". We had assumed, correctly, that a toddler would be able to eat from his mother's plate but we were confused why she would have come up halfway through the meal and start gesturing and being weird asking how old he is when we clearly intended for him to eat... As if that wasn't irritating enough she points at my sister who is holding her phone with no food in front of her if she's eating and we are all confused because clearly she is not eating and the waitress says, "Oh I saw you earlier. No stealing" AS IF ONE SINGULAR SIP FROM SOMEONE'S SOUP BOWL IS ENOUGH TO ACCUSE A CUSTOMER OF STEALING. Possibly the most uncomfortable encounter at a restaurant ever. But we decided to laugh about it because clearly we didn't have an agenda to steal an extra plate of gross food from a gross restaurant.
