I have nothing but good things to say. John and Patrick and their crew were very good to work with. They completed the job in a timely manner, did a very good and effective job on the house, they stuck to the estimate cost, and did an excellent clean up at the end. I would hire them again!

Hired John & his team thru a family member, for us it was about the experience they have in historical masonry, our property is over 97yrs old & we were worried about getting the wrong mason from the get go, I thought after long hours of online research that I knew it all until John came over to advise & quote us on the project.
Everything whet amazingly, we were informed of progress & planning throughout the process & the cleanup was superb.
Definitely would highly recommend Prostone Masonry.

John and his team were there when other companies werent willing or didnt even offer services to waterproof the exterior of my poor old house after we suffered water damage. They made room in their schedule to accommodate us between jobs and were so quick. They even worked in the rain, repoured the sidewalk, and replanted all the bushes around the space. It feels great to know that the brick was protected from the outside in and that we wont have water issues anymore!

It will be hard to keep this short given what a great experience I had with John and his company, Prostone.
Here is important stuff:
He gave me a very reasonable quote and stuck to it.
Even though the project took place during a true monsoon season in Richmond, John kept to his schedule. He is able to work in almost any weather.
John is on the job in person every day. This is not a case where you get a quote from the owner and never see him again until its time to pay. He does not jump from job to job.
He checked in with me throughout the day and if he had any issues or questions, he came to me for guidance. If I had any questions, he encouraged me to ask them and answered them promptly.
If you need it (and I did) John has great practical and aesthetic suggestions he is glad to share. I was concerned about run-off from an environmental perspective. John suggested and installed a French Drain running to a deep catchment in the middle of my flower bed. Environmentally friendly and will cut back on watering.
John has a great sense for the Fan, where my home is located, and is committed to retaining historical design integrity. In addition to design he is very focused on using the right materials.
Most importantly, the finished project looks fantastic! John said that when finished I would have added another room to my house and hes right.
I highly recommend Prostone.
