VCU Medical Center at Stony Point

dr jonathan isaacs is one of the worst doctors i have ever seen in my life. talked down to me and dimished and minimized my experiences. didn't listen to me at all. told me to "just live with" my chronic pain. gave me all of 5 minutes of his time and it was completely useless and unhelpful. if you are a young woman DO NOT see this doctor! he won't even speak to you like an equal.

We visited the dermatology department for my son and while the doctor(Haught) was very knowledgeable he was very rude. His customer service was very unpleasant and I did not have a good experience. He snapped at me after I misunderstood one of his questions and I do not recommend if you care about having a pleasant relationship with your doctor.

They seem to be very uninterested in having me as a patient. I tried to make an appointment to discuss pregnancy care with the midwives, but was told they don't do that unless you're already pregnant. So I asked to get an annual womens' wellness appointment with them, which apparently they don't do either, so I have to see a gynecologist. I asked them to schedule an appointment with my PCP, who works in this office and typically handles my annual visits, and was told that I was now considered a "new patient" because I haven't had a visit in over 3 years (to be clear, in that 3 year period we were on lockdown for a global pandemic, and I had two babies so was under the care of an OB...so I was told not to come back until after I was out of my OB's care), and that my PCP was not taking new patients at this time. Like, WHAT?! Dumping me off the panel without any notice?! Now I'm floating out here with no GYN, no PCP, and no options - and the scheduler could not have cared less about helping me find a solution. Never going back to VCU for any reason if I can avoid it.
