We ate here twice while staying at the Best Western Radford for two nights. The food was quickly prepared, very fresh, large portions and absolutely delicious (T-bone steaks were done to perfection both nights and the German chocolate cake was the best I have ever eaten)!!! Service and friendliness were also perfect!!!! Definitly a place to try if you are in the area!!! Thank you Chef Marie and staff!!!

Marie's Restaurant Maybe she was having a bad night when the wife and I went there. Everything was terrible. I ordered meatloaf and it looked like someone scooped 3 spoons of very dry, non seasoned (but heavy with green peppers) meatloaf on a plate. However, the meatloaf did have an added feature not readily found in most meatloaf…. one of the server’s hairs!!!! The corn was straight from a freezer bag, again with no seasoning. The garlic/herb mashed potatoes, while real potatoes, did not have a hint of garlic flavor to them, nor seasoning (did spy some dried parsley flakes in there, though). No flavor to anything and I had to ask for salt and pepper. The wife got catfish, sauteed squash and zucchini and mac n cheese. The catfish was slightly undercooked, also tasteless. and slimy in texture. Some of the sauteed squash/zucchini combo wasn't even slightly cooked and I swear it looked exactly like some we saw in the produce section of a local grocery store. The mac n cheese was reported to be pretty much like the wife makes, but again with no seasoning and the wife stated it was leftover, not freshly made. We hesitantly tried dessert and the “cheesecake” was lumpy. Lumpy? It was a cheesecake pie, no bake and in a premade crumb crust. When asked for a “critique” the wife informed our server what was wrong with HER plate, never got to mine and was given all sorts of excuses and arguments about the lumpy “cheesecake”. The reaction to the hair on my plate? OH …… I’m sorry, it’s MINE because I’ve not put my hair back today….. Thank God it was just y’all who got it! Seriously???? The lack of concern about the whole thing baffles me. No price reduction was mentioned nor given at all for anything. We will NOT be back and we cannot give a good rating to this establishment. PLease note: The garlic bread had the best flavor of all the savory items we tried!!!!
