Buyer Beware! Drove 12 hours from Florida and spent over $2000 in travel and survey cost based on misrepresentation of the condition of the Carver 360 Mariner, Alex J. Spoke to salesman and asked for a FaceTime walkthrough, during which we asked specifically about water damage and were not told about the extensive leaks and damage to interior until we arrived for the sea trial and survey. The owner and salesman even tried to conceal the damage to the berth area by covering the years of water damage with a cushion from the salon. We were taken advantage of and lied to just to make a sale. Learned an expensive lesson. Hope this review keeps you from trusting this company with your boat purchase. In reply to comment from broker: Many boats are purchased out of state and I was doing my due diligence by FaceTiming with your salesperson who failed to disclose significant water damage to the interior of this boat before I drove from Florida to VA to see what was advertised as near flawless and instead was full of leaks. Your reply speaks loudly to your disregard for people’s time and money and showcased exactly who you are and how disrespectfully you treat buyers.

I just did a deal with Rob Hess. The transaction was smooth. He took care of the negotiation with the seller and arranged to have the boat transported to a local marina. I highly recommend him.

I have truly never had a better experience dealing with a sales broker of anything! Rob Hess has sold two of my boats and found me two boats. He goes the extra extra mile. I would not deal with anyone else when it comes to buying or selling your boat, these guys are the best.

I had a very unethical experience today with a dealer from Dominion Yachts. They had a boat listed on Boat Trader. We saw it and contacted them. They said they were scheduling appointments 3 days out. I scheduled it for 3 days out. We were coming from Richmond. We made the appointment for 11:00 am. (Since we had to drop our children off with childcare and drive to Woodbridge) We text them at 10:45 saying we would be a few minutes late due to traffic. We arrived at 11:15. The man walked over to us and said sorry I just sold the boat 15 minutes ago. Needless to say I was livid. He said well sorry, first come first serve and my job is to sell boats. How is requiring appointments 3 days out and not honoring them even ethical. He said this person just showed up and gave him a deposit. IMO he should have told them that he MADE AN APPOINTMENT for someone to see the boat and needed to HONOR that. I would not recommend buying a boat from a dealer that showed zero remorse for using such poor judgement and greed over ethics.
