I have been going to Dr. Horne since 1980 and feel he is the most incredible family doctor I have ever met. He is patient and kind and takes time to diagnose whatever problem you have. Dr. Horne is extremely knowledgeable and experienced but also up to date on all the latest relevant medical research and information. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking a highly skilled professional physician with a heart of gold!

Exceptional Care and Expertise at Old Dominion Medical Center I wanted to take a moment to express my family's sincere appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Nurse Practitioner Ms. Patricia Leighton at Old Dominion Medical Center. If we had the option, we would gladly give Ms. Leighton 10 stars across the board, but for now, please accept our heartfelt 5-star rating. Ms. Leighton's knowledge and expertise as a nurse practitioner are truly remarkable. It is evident that she is well-versed in her field, and her ability to explain medical matters in a clear and understandable manner has been invaluable to us. Her empathetic and caring nature has made every visit a comforting and reassuring experience for my mom, mother-in-law, husband, son, and myself. Over the years, Ms. Leighton has been an essential part of our family's healthcare journey. From routine check-ups to more complex medical situations, she has always been there with a compassionate and attentive approach. Her commitment to our well-being has not gone unnoticed, and we are grateful to have such a knowledgeable person as our trusted healthcare provider. We also want to extend our appreciation to Dr. Horn, whose expertise has complemented Ms. Leighton's care wonderfully. Dr. Horn's concierge program for my mother-in-law was very helpful, and we remember one time when my mother-in-law needed assistance, he even went to see her at her house. This act of kindness speaks volumes about Dr. Horn's caring and knowledgeable nature. The entire staff at Old Dominion Medical Center is outstanding, and we would be remiss not to mention Yolanda's exceptional service. Her efficiency and empathy whether in the office or over the phone, have made every interaction a pleasant one. The office also has Quest diagnostic for your convenience with your lab work. Thanks to Olivia who did my lab work last week, she knows her job well. Ms. Leighton, Dr. Horn, Yolanda, and the entire team, we cannot thank you enough for the wonderful care you have provided us throughout the years. Your dedication to your patients is commendable, and we feel fortunate to have been under your care for more than 23 years.

After being a patient of Patricia Leighton for over 5 years I would give her a total of one star and I can confidentially say that I don’t feel as though she cares AT ALL. It is very difficult and tedious to obtain a correct diagnosis and treatment from her. It took her a span of 2 months and 3 appointments to treat me for a yeast infection even though I left a swab and urine sample in the first appointment. I could have saved time, money, and extreme uncomfort/pain by going to cvs. She also does not follow HIPAA guidelines as I constantly overhear her talking about patients in a way that I am not comfortable with. When I shared my concerns with Patricia she was very unprofessional and even called me “rude” for sharing my concerns and frustration.. that was the last straw. I could not continue to see a doctor that treated me like an inconvenience. I needed a doctor that was actually going to do their job the way it should be done. Fortunately though I have been able to now see Sara Wassell who I would give 5 stars! Sara is amazing and I wish she was my dr. from the beginning. For the first time in this office I actually feel cared for. Sara is the only reason I continue at Old Dominion Medical Center.
