Made reservation for Saturday March14th. Called on Friday afternoon to confirm. Was told that Restaurant will be shut down Friday evening permanently. When were they going to call to let us know? Terrible!

Pretty good food. Salmon was the best. Drinks were good too.

Cafe Deluxe, located in the Tysons Corner area, is a nice little kept secret. It butts up to the Crate and Barrel across from Tysons 1 parking area, with it's own parking lot. The decor is very 1950s, with black and white checked floors, a beautiful wooden bar area, stools available with a few high tops. The restaurant is simply decorated and comfortable. Half circle booths are just inside the door, and lots of room for about 5 people. Several booths line the inside walls and glass wall to the entrance. There's a large eating area to the back of the restaurant. Large parties usually congregate there. The menu has an array of easy appetizers. My favorite is the creamy crab dip with the best baked bread ever! I've enjoyed several main entrees for lunches and dinners. I enjoy the sauce served with the crab cakes. Their homestyle meatloaf serving is too large for one person but the potatoes and vegetables served alongside it has the taste of a homestyle plate. I am not really happy with their chicken pot pie. I've seen it go thru multiple changes. I've told them all they need to do is thicken the sauce inside so it isnt runny like soup, don't change the phyllo crust, and they'll have a hit. I'm still waiting for that. Cafe Deluxe has a perfect oven baked half chicken. Their Cuban styled chicken sandwich on a brioche roll is delicious! You really can't go wrong with the pleasant staff ready to assist. Their desserts are simple but delicious. My favorite is the apple crumble. I ask for a scoop of ice cream on it. Perfection! Enjoy!
