Very professional service. We must continue to support our black owned businesses. I was most impressed from the start to the finish of the care given to our love one. Mrs. Dandridge was adamant about who would receive her 102 year old body in preparation for eternal rest. A job well done.

Burying a parent is NEVER easy, especially when living half way across the country from that loved one. My Father, up in age, lived a very independent life, wanting to live on his own, without the direct support of his adult children, not wanting to lose his independence. With him having poor hearing, at times on the go, and having constant plague of phone solicitors and scammers (on the elderly), it was not uncommon for him to not answer his phone. When God decided it was time to bring him home, of course his remains stayed behind. It was approximately two weeks before it was determined that he had passed in his home, an unattended death. With warm weather not helping the condition of his remains, starting the process, "for dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return," was going to be a challenge to hold a memorial as a celebration of life, in the midst of a global pandemic, COVID-19. For those that believe, God always provides a way to navigate life's... and death's challenges. For my family and I, that WAY was Hairston Funeral Home, Martinsville, VA. The staff of Hairston Funeral Home were very patient, accommodating, and at the same time, quick to deliver on family requests, even those requests that may be uncommon, and continued to provide service after the memorial service; or as said service after the sale. I can't say enough positive comments about Hairston Funeral Home, it's staff, Kerry, Kim, Elizabeth, and others. If I could give them a review of more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. Phillip B.

Thank God for Kerry Smith and the staff for being loving, caring, concerned, and very professional. We the Perkins family will always be grateful.
