In looking for board and train programs for my Australian Shepherd, I was concerned with a safe and respectful experience for my dog and myself. I am not anti-E-Collar categorically, but it was important to find a philosophy of training that gives the dog credit for his abilities to learn through positive reinforcement. I wanted to equip myself with tools to better direct my dog's energy while giving my dog the experience of working rigorously with a stranger. I did not expect that after sending my dog away for three weeks he would return a perfect angel. He is still, thankfully, himself--a wacky and high-energy goofball. He has, however, returned with new skills in listening and attention. An Australian Shepherd is a big responsibility and the training will continue with me. Tracy, the trainer I worked with through Mike, met his mission statement fully from her dedication and good-humor to her experience and open-mindedness. Rather than treating him like a product, Tracy handled my dog like a member of my family and a guest of her own. After our initial meeting, I felt confident that my dog would be trained with care and respect. I also felt my goals and concerns were heard and taken seriously. Our follow-up one-on-one meetings confirmed this. Tracy kept in touch by sharing videos of work in progress that continue to serve as models of how to maintain training with my dog at home. Our one-on-one workshops were so necessary for Tracy to witness and correct my own behavior in working with my dog while showing me herself. Tracy is a direct yet compassionate person with a holistic and realistic view of pet ownership: I am grateful to have worked with her. I feel empowered to help my dog find structure and consistency in his development and training.

Wag Ur Tail Dog Training and T.J. are absolutely AMAZING! We have a young boxer puppy who loves people a little too much at times, T.J. was able to take her energy and re-direct it and make it so much easier for us to walk her, take her to dog parks, and out in public situations.T.J. loves our boxer the way we love her and we couldn't have asked for anyone better to train her! *The owner also talked with us after hours and was SO accommodating to our schedule* HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My daughter sent her 8 month old Boston to this facility for their 2 week live with the trainer program. The cost was 2000.00 for the two weeks. There were a specific set of issues that we wanted them to work on with him 1- staying off the couch and listening when we told him to get down, 2- coming when we called him and listening, 3- jumping up and pawing at you all the time, and 4- his snipping at you when he wanted to play rough. We were given the impression that he would be the only dog in the home and therefore get all of the trainers attention. He is also crate trained and so we asked that he be crated at night, the website also stated the dogs are crated when the trainer is not home. After two weeks, Binny has learned how to not pull on the leash when he is walked. He was not the only dog in the home, there at least 2 other dogs there with him at all times so Binny was adequately entertained and the trainer saw none of the issues (couch, snipping, pawing) that we saw. Binny now however does growl and bark at you if you are not paying what he feels is an adequate amount of attention and has learned to only listen if there are treats involved. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The price is ridiculous and very few if any of the "actual" issues we had with Binny were ever addressed.

Please consider another trainer for your pet if you are in need of obedience training. The company and its trainers are dishonest and manipulative. My family and I paid for four sessions, of which only one was rendered. I scheduled a second session which my trainer Lynde cancelled and we have never heard from her again. The owner did offer us four different lessons with another trainer or a partial refund. Due to the current coronavirus and several immune compromised family members I had to decline the lessons as I cannot risk my family’s health to outside exposure, yet I have not seen the partial refund either. Run, don’t walk away from this company.

Wag Ur Tail, and TJ specifically in my experience, is awesome!! After being frustrated by the scheduling process of a national company, we found Wag Ur Tail and couldn’t be happier. Mike was great on the phone and connected us with TJ to work directly with us. TJ has an excellent ability to work with our dog and our needs, continuously assessing to ensure the best strategies are used to training our dog. He was flexible with the schedule, incredibly patient with us and our dog, had great ideas and if he thought of something when we weren’t together he would text or call with the idea. Knowledgeable, hopeful and realistic. During our entire process, I felt like he truly cared about our dog, and us. I will be recommending TJ and Wag Ur Tail to anyone who has a need.
