Tuscarora Mill Restaurant

My wife and I started going to the Olde Brogue in Great Falls VA back in the 1980s , long before it was acquired by the Tuscarora group. It was a great, traditional Irish pub/restaurant. We have now been here twice since this year and been disappointed both times by the food quality as well as the menu. How can a supposed Irish pub not have Irish stew on the menu at the restaurant ( it was on the menu on the website, however). We both ordered the nights special of a beef boxty. At 6:30 on a not real busy Sunday night, only one boxy was available. Instead, my wife ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were brought out colder than room temperature. The boxy had a very nice mashed potato crust, but the beef and gravy inside were pretty bland. The best thing about the evening was our server, Farzad. Very professional and pleasant. He did his very best for us, and was a treat to chat with. These two experiences seem really at odds for the ownership company. We go to the Tuscarora Mill often and are never disappointed there. Always outstanding. Not so for us at the Brogue.

We went here for our post-elopement lunch and the staff, food, and atmosphere could not have been better! It was a mix of classy, casual, and celebratory. We felt so welcomed and special, and we will definitely be revisiting for anniversaries to come. Thank you!!

Just had (3/29/2024) a surprise 70th bday for me (my bday is 5/22/54) My family and Tuscarora did a fabulous job.
