We just had our deck power washed and sealed this past weekend by this company. I will definitely use them again. Ana and Sergio are a pleasure to deal with. Communication is extremely prompt and professional. They arrive on time, charge a fair price and do an excellent complete job. What's not to like?!!

I do NOT recommend A+ Best Services. The quality of work is low w/ no attention to detail. They do not stand behind their work & only make excuses. I have experience as a handyman so I know what a refinished deck should look like. Keep in mind when looking at the photos, this was to be Semi-transparent stain. NOT SOLID COLOR paint/stain. Here is a quick list of the issues w/ more details below • Stain was applied too thick & left a sticky partially dried coat on the deck surface • Stain was applied inconsistently leaving obvious lines & marks where the brush strokes/spray lines started/stopped, plus different colored sections, the blotches you see in the photos are not from sun/shadows, that is the difference in color • Sanding of the deck was barely done leaving tons of splinters & chipping wood • My garden hose was thrown from the deck onto a small Azalea bush & left crushing the limbs • The new wood they cut for the railing was left w/ jagged unfinished edges • The 2 fence boards they cut were crooked & sloppy • Ana came back to look at the issues & offered no help, instead she only made excuses & claimed the deck was fine Instead of 2-3 light coats, the stain was applied in one very thick coat that couldn’t absorb into the wood, creating a sticky layer of partially dried stain. The staining is uneven w/ visible lines from the brush/spray strokes and clear divide where one stroke stops & another begins. When I questioned Ana about this, she said the stain was fine & it would dry soon (it was already day 7). She claimed the lines & inconsistencies were due to the old wood’s absorption of the stain & claimed it was supposed to look like that. When I told her I have experience doing decks & that isn’t true, she mocked me & implied I was lying. On the invoice was a charge of $250 for 2 hours of sanding. Based on this cost I assumed this would be 2 hour use of a professional deck sanding machine, what I received was one man w/ a handheld orbital sander, randomly sanding small areas for 2 hours. When I questioned this, Ana said, the invoice says 2 hours of sanding & that is what I received & that they do not sand to remove splinters, only to “prep for stain”. She also claimed the professional machine doesn’t work on decks & can’t go over nails…. When I told her I have used it myself in the past & I know it works, she again implied I was lying. I rented it from Home Depot a few weeks later & sent the videos to Ana showing the machine gliding right over the nails & smoothing away all the splinters, she never responded. They cut 2 new railing top boards & cut it w/ a rough blade & didn’t sand the cut edge, they left the jagged splinters sticking out right where you would grab the railing. When I pointed this out to Ana she laughed in my face as if that was an absurd to even notice. I have to give them credit in two areas, the power washing was good & the men who did the work were very friendly. Before they left, I even gave them a cash tip & from a distance the work looked good. But the deck was still wet & I couldn’t walk on it for a few days… that’s when I started to see the issues. I waited a few extra days before contacting Ana to see if the stickiness would go away. I also ordered a can of the stain they used & hand sanded & stained 2 of the boards myself to see if I could get them to look the way I excepted. They came out smooth w/ a consistent semi-transparent coloring & no faded patches, so any excuses from Ana about the old wood not absorbing or the sanding not getting rid of the splinters was BS. The cost was $1559. After discovering all of the issues & explaining to Ana that I would have to redo the entire project, I felt a 50% refund ($779) was fair. Ana refused. After Ana coming out to see the issues in person, I requested a refund of only $684 (43.8%) – for the invoice item “Deck Restoration”. Ana said she would get back to me & now a month later I still have not heard back. I tried to follow up but she does not respond. Service: Power/pressure washing
