Dona Rosa Restaurant

The food is way overpriced and looked like something I could make myself. The quesadilla was pretty much just chicken... and a little bit of cheese, I think. The chips are cold and hard (I've bought tastier chips at the grocery store). I can still feel it in my stomach. The waitress barely came over to the table and was only nice at the end right before we tipped. There need to be some major improvements to this place, or at least a drop in prices.

Today was my first and last time eating at Dona Rosa. There was no meat in the "chicken" tamale and I did not care for whatever the flavoring in it. I have never seen "white" mexican rice. I'm sure it probably exists though, but is not for me. The to go container of salsa is about 2 inches in diameter, the chip is 5 inches. I have eaten authentic mexican food and I make it myself. This I'm sorry to say is just not good food.

Love the fajitas and the carne asada. Try the sharkbite margarita. Salsa is homemade - with fresh cilantro and onions and the guacamole is amazing! Our waitress was very nice and attentive and recommended several plates to us.

I went by today 8-26-14 and they are closed. Finally bankrupt? They ruined the place when they expanded to the location next door. They got too big for their own good. That location on East Market killed Nestor's, Galley 2 and now Dona Rosa.
