Blue Nile Ethiopian Cuisine

ALERT! THIS IS NOT ETHIOPIAN FOOD. It's not even good food. I was introduced to Ethiopian food by my Ethiopian friend. I frequently ate and still eat Traditional Ethiopian Vegetarian/Vegan dishes. However, I am African American and I know the difference between French's Mustard and traditional ethiopian spices. The vegetarian dishes were dry and disgusting (Like flour curd...how do you even make that?). So much so that I could not even finish my food. (And I NEVER waste food). I did not even give it to my dog. Moreover, I find it outright disrespectful to walk into an atmosphere claiming to offer Traditional Ethiopian, yet there isn't anyone, but Caucasian people. Their efforts were a failed attempt of imitation, at best. As an African American, I did not even feel welcome, yet they are serving "African" food? Eating at Blue Nile Ethiopian Cuisine is like eating Government Cheese. It should never be by choice. Publish That!!

I'm not surprised that I've heard they may close. They had two bartenders for a Saturday night. Waited 45 minutes just to close a tab. Also had a photographer working the bar to take pictures but couldn't be bothered to hire another bartender. Cover charge too. Alright place if you don't want to buy any drinks there at all, but unacceptable for a busy Saturday to be that understaffed.

The food was terrible at best. Provided same beans as two different vegetarian dishes, same taste different colors. This place is a rip off. To top it off, when the bill was given, for the three of us, we were billed at three tax rates which were comical. When asked for an explanation, they claimed it was a computer error which was total rubbish. I have had Ethiopian food many times before but this place was pathetic.

Down in basement, i left for a fee minutes and tried to get back in to dance and drink and they said no re entry, probaby racist type s...., nnever go there again and will tell all my friends!!!!!!!
