I always enjoy Fortune Garden's food. They fix it just the way you like it And everyone that works for the restaurant is very friendly.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the entire Tidewater area. Everything is excellent. If you like Cantonese cuisine, you will love Fortune Garden. I especially like their Spicy Shredded Pork, their Beef Chow Fun, and their General Tso Chicken - but you cannot go wrong with any dish from this wonderful restaurant. The service is excellent and very helpful.

I ordered the cold sesame noodles and mapo tofu and was really disappointed. The sesame noodles were dry with sesame seeds sprinkled on the top. They tasted okay, but would be better if they had a sauce on them. The mapo tofu wasnt mapo tofu. It was completely wrong. The sauce for the mapo tofu was wrong (it was a brown sauce and I couldnt taste any doubanjiang or sichuan peppercorn), the tofu wasnt the right type of tofu, and the sauce to tofu ratio was off. If you prefer a thin, mild brown sauce, you might like this, but I was expecting a spicy, numbing sauce that typically comes with this dish. I was really hopeful of finding a good mapo tofu near where I live since its one of my favorite dishes.
