The manager at the Virginia Center store in Glen Allen, VA is extremely rude. I asked the cashier if I could get a $10 bill for a five and five ones after I paid for the ink I had come in for. He informed me that he didn't have any tens in his drawer and would have to call the manager to get him some. He called her over his ear piece and told her what he needed. She replied that she was with a customer and would come when she was done. I waited for about 10 minutes and then she asked him again over his ear piece what he needed. He told her that he had a customer waiting who would like a ten for a five and five ones. She came over to his register and asked him again what he needed and he repeated it, pointing to my five and five ones on the counter. She opened his cash drawer and took out two twenties and went to the back to get change. When she returned, she put the money in his drawer and closed it. He repeated (for the fourth time!) that I would like a $10 bill for a five and five ones. She looked at me and said, "We're not allowed to open the cash drawer to make change." Mind you, that's what she was called over there to do, and she just had the drawer open!! I stated that I had made a purchase and just needed change. She repeated that she wasn't allowed to do that and walked away, leaving both me and the cashier standing there dumbfounded. Unbelievable!
**I'm giving 3 stars because I was able to find what I needed, and the cashier and other employees were very helpful, but the manager deserves a big fat zero!

Phyllis Winston Holloway says "Although I have been a Customer of Office Max/Office Depot for many years and in many Cities and locations, I've found the Store on Brook Road, Virginia Center Commons, Richmond, VA to be my favorite.
I have been a Customer at that location for 10+ years receiving Excellent Products and Services.
Therefore, I feel as though I am a part of the Family Organization, which like the TV show "CHEERS" - "Everybody Knows My Name"

Went in looking for a printer after going in 3 other stores. The expert, Richard, was so great! He knew alotttt about the types of printers and specifics. I got so much information that I really needed to know, I asked and he had the answers. Thank you to Richard!

Walked in around 11:35AM on a Monday. The store was not busy however, the guy working the counter for Lamination, Printing, etc.. did not acknowledge the 3 people in line aside from telling us self service is faster & cheaper for printing. Waited in line behind a lady who I assumed was being helped but wasnt for at least 10-15 minutes. Customer behind me asked if anyone else could help us before getting told his girl doesnt come in until 12 and he couldnt help anyone for another 5-10 minutes. I know the lady waiting in front of me waited much longer. Associate couldve at least asked what we needed and let us know something in reference to our wait time. He was very stand offish and rude with the basic interaction with the customer asking a simple question. Another what looked to be manager in the store just stood there instead of acknowledging the customers in the store.
Usually I come here as all I need to do is Print and can use the self serve option. However, today I need help with lamination.
Need the staff to do better with communication.
