Exceptional customer service. I've gone there to have my vehicles worked on and my appointment times have started right on time. The vehicle repairs or just maintenance, every time the work was done right and on time. The entire team from managers to the mechanics are excellent and completely professional.

This was my first time going to Sears Auto Repair. Steve and Will was very friendly and helpful explaining everything that needed to be done and gave me the opportunity to look at what was being repaired. They worked with my schedule to have my car ready when I needed and did a great job. I will continue to take my cars to Sears in the future. Thank you all so much for getting the car back on the road at an affordable price.

I had the alternator and battery replaced on my car a week ago at the Richmond Sears location. Today the battery light flashed on while I was driving so I called the nearest Sears Auto in Fredericksburg and took the car in to be checked. Unfortunately, Sears Auto in Fredericksburg ran a few tests and sent me on my way. They seemed to have taken the position that since they did not witness the light flash it did not happen. I was even told by the mechanic that he had never heard of the battery light flashing (really, just google it sir!) and if I didn’t trust his judgment, I should take my car to the dealership, after paying over $1K for a new alternator and battery at SEARS just 1 week ago. The battery light should not flash and the mechanic was not interested in finding the cause. I guess since the work wasn’t done in their store they didn’t want to properly remedy the problem. So instead of saying they didn’t want to incur the cost to properly diagnose the problem or possibly replace a faulty part, they decided to insult my intelligence. I had dialogue with the mechanic that surely would not have happened with my husband.
I’ve been a loyal Sears Auto customer for over 20 years. I even travel long distance for their service out of loyalty especially since the company is on life support. This experience has changed my perspective.
UPDATE - I took my car to Sears in Richmond and the alternator was defective and had to be replaced.
