Got a $1500 bill for a bunch of unnecessary tests order by Emily Williams, NP. Good place if your rich. Also, I never received follow-up information after the tests were done, so I don't even know what to do with the results. Biggest waste of money ever!

Sentara is only 20 minutes from my house, but Augusta is definitely worth the hour drive. Joseph Freeze, NP is incredible. He was thorough, listened to all of my concerns and ordered testing to figure out the cause of my abdominal pain. Turns out, it was my gallbladder. He referred me to Augusta General Surgery where Dr Mark Andres is incredible, too. I had my gallbladder surgery January 11th and I cannot say enough about the entire staff in the OR, too. A wonderful experience, especially when youre in the middle of a pandemic and cannot have your spouse with you. They called and informed him during each step of the surgical process that day!

I was referred here by my primary care physician. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call the next day for scheduling my appointment. I was delighted that they could see me a few days later. Quick. Very different from Roanoke-area healthcare. My visit with NP Emily Williams was great. I had nothing against nurse practitioners, but I had initially hoped to see a doctor. Let me just say, I would recommend. Emily was knowledgeable and personable. She recorded every detail of my situation, she kept great notes, and I know she discussed my matter with GI doc. What I most appreciate is this: In our first meeting Emily suspected 2 possible diagnosis'. From day one, she pursued both of them simultaneously to give me the fastest resolution possible. She ordered expanded bloodwork, scheduled an upper endoscopy to rule out stomach cancer/ulcers, AND set up a referral for surgery to get the ball rolling if it was gallbladder issues. I very much appreciate the collaboration between departments. If medical staff does something, everyone else knows about it and gets the results. They all share notes and communicate. You can also directly message your doctors on their online system, and they respond FAST.
