The day of my appointment I woke up throwing up so I called at 8:47 and no one answered and I waited a little bit and called again at 9:00 and no one answered and then I called at 9:02 and no one answered finally got someone to answer at 10:25 and the person that answered the phone was rude and had an attitude wouldnt let me explain and kept asking if I left a voicemail. If Im throwing up why would I want yall to call me when I call when Im not throwing up. So because Im sick and they wouldnt answer the phone I was put on the no show list and not allowed to make another appointment

I went to Augusta Health and had 3 of my kids appointments. Nurse and Nurse Practitioner were amazing!! LOVED them. I called few times before the appointments for my kids if I can change it for same day but little earlier coz it was conflicting with my OBGYN appointment and i was repeatedly told NO i couldnt. which i understand...when i came to the appointment i asked the nurse if its possible both of my kids can be seen at the same time... she was wonderful she understood my situation and told me bring the kids in together. I appreciated their flexibility a lot. i am a full-time working mom and sometimes its hard for me to take time off work. when i came out to check out i told the Front desk lady if i can get the 6 months follow-up for all my kids on the same day... she said in a very rude way WE DONT DO THAT... i was like really... all of my other doctors do this without any issue. Then she called the nurses back there and they said thats alright... she made a NASTY COMMENT and said oh you already went behind our backs and changed your todays appointment... i was like Excuse me??? she said it again yes you went behind our back......... i was speechless with the way she insulted me in front of my kids... for something....... i mean i was speechless... her name is Amie Linke. i Called multiple time to file a complaint no one called me back. i also send email to patient advocacy no reply... i really want this to be heard... and need someone to reach back to me... i dont appreciate this and i never ever had this experience....

I have went here 2x for a large open wound on my foot and both time's was sent home with nothing being done they didn't clean or bandage it. They hurry and get you checked in so they can charge your insurance. Then spend hours hoping you will just walk out and they'll get paid for nothing. It's not like they are short of staff they are everywhere just talking and sitting around even the Dr. It's like a day care for Dr and nurses I have been in hospitals quit a bit in my older age and this is the first time I have ever given a bad review. The only thing that is going to happen for sure is there going to charge your insurance w

Dr. Reed is a good doctor that is extremely knowledgeable, especially with regards to dietary and nutritional advice. This can be a HUGE plus when in decent shape and wanting to maintain or improve your health (lower blood pressure, or cholesterol, etc). Unfortunately, he's trapped in an extremely poorly run medical outfit. I cannot say enough about Dr. Reed or his nurse. They are both great. His nurse is very compassionate and is willing to listen to everything you want to share - Dr. Reed does this, as well, but after about 10 minutes it becomes obvious that he's under pressure to get out of your room to go visit someone else - like most insurance strapped doctors, I'm sure he has 25+ more people to see today to keep his doors open, and you will feel like it. The office is typically clean and the exam rooms are adequate. There's almost always at least one, or two other people waiting. I have had to see Dr. Snodgrass when Dr. Reed was out of the office. I won't go into details, but personally, I would avoid seeing her at all costs. My experience with Dr. Snodgrass left me feeling like I would have been better off going to a walk in clinic. I have not seen any other doctors at this practice, but the bigger problem here is that these doctors are part the Augusta Medical Group, which is tied to the larger atrocity that is "Augusta Health". In my time as a patient, I've had "stat" imaging orders written that Augusta Health can't accommodate for WEEKS. I've had orders for monitoring devices written wrong by the doctors that the scheduling folks at the specialists office told me were wrong, yet then proceeded to say they would wait for the doctor to send it just so they could reject it - and I'd go to the back of the queue to wait ANOTHER two weeks to be scheduled. It's obscene how poorly run Augusta Health is. I'm quit sure the Virginia Department of Health would have a field day going through this place. If you're healthy and want good preventative care, go see Dr. Reed. He'll help you get your diet in shape and will recommend good practices to stay healthy. If you're sick and he needs to send you into the larger AH establishment for testing (lab work, imaging, etc) be prepared to fight for appointments and to be persistent in pushing for results. If you have any sort of lingering situation or a chronic condition, I would absolutely consider going to UVA or Sentara over in Charlottesville.
