Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar

This place has it all. Romance, hand picked drinks, homemade food and great service. We come often but this was a impromptu date lunch that we were able to make on open table. Though we were able to easily find tables. We sat on the wine bar side, as this is where we normally dine. We had octopus appetizer, their homemade ficcata bread, ricotta appetizer, make your own pasta and cream brulee. The octopus was atop amazingly flavored potatoes and accompanied by cooked artichokes. Simple delicious. Ricotta was good would have loved a side of extra toppings for when you dip into the ricotta as you take first layer in little time. My husband enjoyed his pasta choices. We both enjoyed the lovely cream brulee, however I will say the brulee part is very light and only in the center. But was a lovely way to end the meal.

Extremely disappointed. The food was bland and oily, and the atmosphere was very loud and bar-like. The server we had was okay though, and the prosecco was decent but highly upcharged. Definitely not worth the $150 we spent on dinner.

Dolce Vita has such a nice ambience, in which you have the option of choosing more sunlight or less. The olive oil to go with the bread feels just like olive oil imported from Italy, and the taste is so different from the oil used in other restaurants. The food is quite stellar too, and will take you back to Italy. My personal picks from this restaurant are the ziti bolognese, penne arrrabbiata, and the chicken marsala. It's got a nice ambience for date night. Overall, I highly recommend this location and I hope to come back here in the foreseeable future.
