Worse ER ever. Now you can't sit with who you came with. No one is any any hurry to help you. You could die before anyone comes and then you get put in a holding cell for hours. Don't check on you. It's ridiculous. Never will come back to this place. I'd rather take a beating then you be there.

Its seemingly like the more time passes, the more these people really dont care and fall into a repetitive cycle for each patient. Ive had emergency visits and each time they send me away to another doctor without any pain relief. The staff have a lot to work on, and i dont recommend going her unless its the closest hospital near you and its life and death.

Over the years, I or family members have had to utilize pretty much every ER in the area I can sadly say that Chesapeake Medical Center Emergency Room is the most inept ER I have ever dealt with. Triage professionalism is non existent, no one has any indication of the meaning and importance of EMERGENCY! Spending 3+ hours to see a DR appears to be the normal and accepted policy. Please do yourself a favor and seek professional ER assistance at any other hospital before putting your health in jeopardy at Chesapeake Regional. Potential broken bones are not their priority as it seems.

If I could give zero stars I would they have no compassion for people.. I went to this E.R a few weeks ago in severe agony they had the nerve to ask my pain level and the woman even said I can tell its a 10 I am normally good with pain but I was in agony I sat in e.r for almost 7 hours I was taken to a room nurse came in once and I didnt see her again. I wound up walking out And when asked a question they had a attitude.. and then on top of it my daughter was just to their E.R today they said she was having a seizure they said they didnt have beds and left her in the waiting room.. she was there for almost 5 hours and she decided to leave this hospital it trash if you ask me. They have no sense of urgency or compassion. I know staffing is short but that is no excuse for being rude

Having worked in an ER, I will give the waiting room a 4 star. They could not move any faster than beds available in the treatment area and staffing allowed. So, what I saw was lack of space begging for more treatment rooms and shortage of staff. The triage nurse needs to prioritize the customer faster. A nurse's personality doesn't bother me, but showing compassion goes a long way. I understand there will be a waiting period, but for 2 1\2 hours for someone very weak, short of breath and needing transfusions to wait as others walk in afterwards showing no apparent high risk, taken in less than an hour shows no organization/priority. I do not know how they decide to take one person over another, but that seem to be a problem area. I saw staff go to the bin with the walk-in information and shuffled the papers as if to choose who to take to a room.
