Actually better than "ok", but deducting a star here for the tasting menu. A great deal, but menu remains unchanged in a year. Have sampled it twice, and on second occasion the same care didn't go into the preparation that blew us away on the first. Kale salad lacked the consistency and the attention to detail that makes it superb. The same could be said of the main dishes on the revisit which were a knockout in round one. A great choice still for the full menu, however it would be good to see the sampling offering do what it should and make you want to come back and dine.

Nice restaurant. I was afraid it was going to be fake-French, but the food was very good. Portions not too large, and with lots of flavour, so very satisfying.

We held our rehearsal dinner at L'Etoile on November 2nd. They were very good about helping us plan the event and menu. We rented the entire restaurant and had hors d'oeuvres downstairs and the meal upstairs. We came in from out of town, so we did not have a chance to do a tasting, so we were thrilled when the food was amazing! For hors d'oeuvres we had a baked brie, bacon wrapped dates, and crab cakes. For the entrees we had beef tenderloin, trout filets, or gnocchi. Dessert was a platter of finger desserts - truffles, chocolate toffee bars, lemon bars, and strawberries with chocolate dipping sauce. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was prompt and well timed. The restaurant seating is somewhat separated, which gives the restaurant a very intimate feel, even for a large crowd such as ours. We will look forward to returning for anniversaries.
