When I went to Dulles Oral Surgery Center I was in A LOT of pain and needed 18 teeth pulled. I hadn't had much luck with the other dentists I had been to and their unprofessionalism left me in pain way longer than I needed to be. I called Dulles and they got me in for a consultation very quickly and then the actual surgery date wasn't too far behind. The ladies there are absolutely lovely every time I've talked to them. They made me feel comfortable on my surgery day when I was just full of anxiety. They are also very helpful and have gone out of their way to help me. Dr. Longwe was amazing and did an amazing job. I really can't thank him enough for helping me. If you need an oral surgeon I highly, highly recommend Dr. Longwe :)

I had the same bad experience that others had with Dr. Longwe. I had to have a tongue biopsy done about 2 years ago and making the appointment was pretty standard and straightforward. The appointment for the biopsy the nurse explained what was going to happen, Dr. Longwe came in and the first injection into my jaw was painful, but what I expected. The next two were terrible. The first injection into my tongue was immediately after the jaw. He didn't wait in-between injections at all. I was visibly bracing in the chair, but he then proceeded to do the second and final injection into my tongue. I was given about 5 minutes before he told me I should be numb and clamps were placed on my tongue. By this time my tongue was starting to go numb, but it was nowhere near numb enough to take a biopsy, but he started the procedure anyway. I felt every slice of the scalpel, every sawing motion he made to cut out the chunk of my tongue. The only thing I could think to do was to screw my eyes shut and bear through the pain until he was done. The nurse said some words of encouragement, but didn't seem surprised from my reactions. That was the worst part of the procedure. When he stitched the incision closed I was still feeling everything, from the needle piercing my tongue to when he tied the knots for the sutures. I was able to feel when he started and exactly how many stitches he did. Even after I got home that day I never got fully numb. A few months later I had to have a filling done, and when i mentioned to the dentist that I may have a problem with local anesthesia, he listened to what had happened before, asked if I remembered what they had given me, and then put a numbing agent on some cotton applicators and waited about 10 minutes. Then did 2 injections into my jaw and waited another 15 minutes before testing my numbness with a blast of cold air to the effected tooth. Only after all that did he begin filing down my tooth for the cavity. Before I left he told me that Dr. Longwe did not properly administrator the anesthesia. I've had to get up to 4 novocaine injections before to pull a tooth, but what I went through with Dr. Longwe was beyond ridiculous. If I didn't have a high pain tolerance after over a decade of chronic pain, I would have been screaming in that chair.
