TSEL has been a true blessing for my family. My son has a mobility disability and the entire facility pitches in to support him as well as teach other students about our son's abilities. He's greeted excitedly everyday and other kids offer help when our son struggles. It's an amazing sight and I pray their exposure to my son will promote their lack of understanding as they get older. I walked in a month ago, only to be brought to tears as I witnessed Mr. Duan motivating my son through the participation of other students as they chanted words of encouragement as my son traveled down the steps. A Blissful moment! Ms Deborah is AMAZING and always there when I need her. We love this place. The interior does lack in updated cosmetics and the playground needs new equipment, but the faculty makes up in personality, commitment, and love for the students and parents.

Our son went for 2.5 years - great balance of love and learning. Great staff who have been there for years. Good sense of community and our son loved it.

Youll have to take this review with a grain of salt since my son only attended Trinity for 5 days so I cant give a full review but I can share my experience. My son was dismissed from his previous Day center due to behavior issues. We were completely upfront with TSEL regarding his specific issues and went into as much detail as possible. We were told he needed to be at TSEL and assured he would not be treated and dismissed the same way as the other school. I got my first phone call from TSEL around lunchtime on his very first day. On his second day I was called at 9am to pick him up within the hour and take him home and on his 4th day I was told he could no longer return and given a date for his last day. On his 3rd day I had a meeting set up with the Director and Assistant Director to discuss a course of action but apparently they couldnt wait that long since they called me on his next day to tell me (at work and over the phone) that they were terminating care. That upset me enough but what really was awful was that day when I went to pick him up I was called into the Directors office for an impromptu meeting where I basically started crying for an hour. My husband was furious that they ambushed me like that, obviously had no respect for my time (they could have just expressed all this at our scheduled meeting time the very next day) and that he was not present or included. He would have preferred to be there and hear the information for himself and also support me while upset. The one good thing that came out of that place for us was that they referred me to Child Find who I had never heard of. My son has since been diagnosed with ADHD and mild ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) specifically Aspergers Syndrome. I was upset that he was not given the chance to adjust to a new school/people/routine. To kick him out after only 4 days seems absolutely ridiculous to me. His current school had the same issues for a few weeks but they rode it out and after some love and discipline he has been thriving there even without an IEP! My other gripes about TSEL were pretty minor I suppose. I really didnt like that lunch was not included in the tuition fees and also the summer activity fees were absolutely astronomical! I wouldnt have been able to even afford them so its all for the best that hes not there anymore. It may be a fine school but we werent given the chance to find out.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. For a year, this school has been a second home and extension of our family. As an educator and parent, I believe our family needed to experience other facilities first in order to truly experience and appreciate TSEL.  My husband and I toured almost all 'popular' preschools in Arlington and DC for a couple of months. After going through two prestigious preschools, we finally settled down in this school after a long wait. It was painful hiring two nannies, but it was absolutely worth it. Their program just greatly fits my son. He has improved on his social skills enormously and loves learning academic stuff like alphabets, numbers, shapes, art, painting and social studies at Ms. Donna and Mr. Duan's Class.  I am so impressed that he perfectly recites Pledge of Allegiance and Lord's prayer. He's ready for kindergarten academically and socially.   Not only academic classes, there are lots of fun and desirable events like bike day, multicultural day, vote day, cooking, music, yoga, zumba dance, foreign language class, science, cooking etc. Oh...summer camp was the best. My son loved going on field trips during the summer camp.    My son tells me every morning "Mommy, I go to school today." Even on Saturday and Sundays! Sometimes, he rides his bike and checks the school's front door on weekends. If my son wants to go to school 7 days a week, TSEL must be doing something right. My son has never requested to go to school prior to finding TSEL.  I was concerned about turnover as experienced at the previous schools. Since we started TSEL a year ago, there has been no turnover. All Lead teachers, assistant teachers and staff know my son's name and greet him every morning.  We feel extremely blessed to have found such a wonderful group of teachers and staff. My four-year-old who starts kindergarten this fall fully prepared academically and I credit TSEL. This school is amazing, period!
