Kona Grill - Arlington

This is one of our favorite places for late snack/dinner. Service is good and the food is good. Definitely you will get what you are paying for. Also they have a good happy hour both for food and drinks. Happy to have this place in Arlington

I was staying in Arlington on a two day business trip. It was a nice night so decided to take a walk down Wilson Blvd in search of dinner. Walked past plenty of resturants but settled on Kona Grill because they had an appetizer that I really like (spare ribs) on the menu. It looked like a really nice place so I went in and was seated. The staff was friendly and efficient. After placing my food order, I asked for a hot Saki...and that's when things started going down hill. It tasted like someone had poured water in the bottle. My appetizer arrived, and it was good...not the best... but tasty enough. When my entree (Pad Tai) arrive it looked different than I expected. But the lighting was very low at my table...and I dove right in. Perhaps the kitchen was having a bad night... As it turned out, it was perhaps the worst plate of food I have ever been served in a resturant. Hard noodles, burnt chicken to the point of tasting like charcoal. I took a couple of bites but quickly realized I simply could not eat it and asked for the manager. He was a nice enough fellow, he apologized and offered to have another plate prepared on him. But I just could not understand how this plate of food made it out of the kitchen and to my table...as it had to be seen by at least three people. I turned him down, paid for the appetizer and watery Saki and left.
