Our kiddo is in the infants class at Kiddie Academy of North Springfield, and has been for 3.5 months now. The caregivers are wonderful with our child, working through a pretty significant aversion to bottle feeding with patience and love. KA sends home summaries each day of feeding, napping, and diaper changes. Also, sometimes, photos of little one's fun through the day! The staff is also wonderful about letting us know if there are any issues through the day. They have a great educational program. The real kicker for me is that they offer a live video feed of your child's room. Whenever I'm missing our little one, I can tune in and see how baby's day is going. I especially love it when I see little one getting the same snuggles from the caregivers that I wish I could be giving. It's quite obvious that even at such a young age, our baby really enjoys going to "school".

They have been more than great helping my 1yr old adjust to daycare. They are patient and understanding. Being in the military its great to have peace of mind that your kids are being well taken care of.

I walked in one day to find my toddler in a classroom full of children more than twice his age, and toys that were tiny enough for him to choke on. No-one was paying attention to him. Another day, I cried at work as I watched my toddler follow a care-giver around for 10 minutes, seeking her attention. My son is independent, and seeks attention only when something is very wrong. Yet this care-giver turned her back to him and kept walking away from him while clutching on to, and playing only with her own child. Eventually when she turned on music, my son danced exaggeratedly hard as he tried to impress her and gain her attention. He spun round and around until he fell and bumped his head. She tended to him for less than a minute, neither picking him up nor icing his bump. I had to watch the painful footage once again as I brought it to the owner's attention. She saw nothing wrong with what had occurred in both instances, so I moved my child to a safer facility. Prior to the above mentioned incidents, I noticed incredibly high turn-over, disgruntled employees that resulted in police presence, daily reports that arrived long after the day was over, the owner who complained constantly about her own staff, days going by with the kids doing minimal activities, kids taken outside at extreme low temperatures, and several other inconsistencies. My child attended another Kiddie Academy prior to our move to the area, but it was top notch compared to this one.
