The man who runs this store is extremely rude and disrespectful. My brother and I were just waiting outside to escape the rain under his awning for no more than five minutes when he rudely confronted us saying pejoratively that "this isn't a phone booth" and insinuating that we continue on our way. I understand that he may not have wanted us to stand there for long as it could obstruct customers from entering but it's truly ripe to speak to another adult with such utter contempt for what in actuality is a minor inconvenience for him. Furthermore, my father is a loyal customer of his as we have lived in Old Town for over 20 years. You should not be disrespectful to anyone regardless, but it would seem especially counterintuitive to disrespect two pedestrians, presumably community members, and thus potential customers. But then again, he is going out of business so clearly he doesn't understand the basics of customer acquisition and retention.
