I wish to provide a review for The Stowe Inn, Stowe, Vermont. We stayed there with another couple, Sept 28-30, and had the worst travel experience of our lives. One of us had booked a “deluxe room” and discovered when we got there that they had given the Deluxe rooms to guests from the nearby Golden Eagle Inn who had to come to the Stowe Inn because their hotel was closed that day. We later discovered that they had charged us for our two rooms before we arrived and it included the ($150) higher rate. No one was present for a check-in and that persisted for the whole two days. The rooms were not ready until 6PM as they had not been cleaned. We were in an adjunct motel building and the only way we got our room keys was for someone from the kitchen to come out and give the keys. Once in our rooms, it turns out they gave our rooms to someone else who tried to enter the room when we were there. We tried to clear up the mistake, but no one ever showed up at the front desk. I tried to have Travelocity clear up this mess and no one would answer the phone for them. This was the most disgusting place and experience. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

Manager aka owner doesn't pay staff tips. So don't ever leave tips on credit card.
