It's best Japanese cuisine! And nice selection of sake! I'm Japanese live in vt. I go there bunch of time.

I've eaten at San Sai a number of times over the last two years and have left entirely satisfied after each visit. The service is punctual and accommodating and the quality and preparation of the food is outstanding. I would highly recommend the special sushi platter; each nigiri piece is a unique experience sporting an expertly calculated combination of flavors. Choose carefully between ginger and/or wasabi; some pieces are complemented better by one, both, or neither depending on their preparation. The rolls are a good palette cleanser to eat between the special nigiri and help make the entrée a complete, filling meal. The otoro cuts, when available, are also impeccable. Be sure to ask your server about these. San Sai is very reasonably priced; this sort of quality served in someplace like NYC or Boston would be at least double the expense. This is definitely the best sushi restaurant in Burlington and is among the best I've ever visited. 5 stars.
