CMC Strings

Walked in to CMC Strings and Mike greeted us at the door. I told him I had never played an instrument let alone violin but would like to start and I could not have asked for a better response and experience. I went in with basically no knowledge about music and just an excitement to play the violin. Mike took the time to explain the basics in a way I could understand and put a violin in my hands. Before leaving I was playing real notes on an actual violin! All of this was done without me even having told him I want to purchase one. Which he then took the time to find multiples in my price range having me feel and hear each one to see which violin fit me best. I cannot wait to get started with my new violin all thanks to the amazing help provided by Mike!

Great shop right in the heart of millcreek with amazing service. Stopped in to get a cello string replaced and the owner/luthier Michael fixed it on the spot. They rent/sell everything from violins to stand up bases. Beautiful instruments and incredible quality. Thank you CMC strings!

I only called them to see if they could assist me in finding a rental. Mike was beyond kind, actively taking the time to walk me through what to look for and even advising me on OTHER local shops to turn to. I really hope to do business with them in the future.

Fantastic local business!! These gentlemen are amazing. They took great time and care to help my son and I with his full size violin. One of the owners is a professional and played several of the violins for us. If you need anything related to orchestra or stringed instruments, make this your shop!! They are absolutely wonderful.

First visit last night, very helpful staff and more than expected service to just get a string replaced on my cello. We'll return.
