Our dog Sullivan (Sully) who is 1.5 was very vocal when we went on walks and had no recall. We didn't want to avoid taking him on walks because we had a lab that was dog aggressive. We felt the aggression was due to a lack of exposure and we didn't want the same to happen to Sully. My wife Shannon found Four Legged Scholars and we decided to work with them because our schedule was busy. We both work full time and our 3 year old keeps us busy after work. The live personalized online one-on-one was great for us because it gave us the opportunity to work with our trainer Johanna without the stress of planning around our busy lives. The online platform was great because we would video tape our training and then Johanna would meet with us over Zoom to go over our progress. We could see our strengths and weaknesses rather than getting feedback during an in-person class where there are so many moving parts. We did the 4 week class and worked on L-A-T and Target. It took us a while to get it down but to see the improvement from our first video to our last was amazing. We have learned a lot and are now comfortably taking Sully on walks. We still have a lot of training to focus on but now we have the tools to work on recall. We highly recommend Four Legged Scholars.

Johanna is absolutely amazing! I worked with her some years ago and the training has paid off time and time again. My dog and I had been thru an abusive relationship and my dog no longer trusted people. She was aggressive and terrified and I wanted to help her. Johanna taught me how to recognize my dogs body language and how to react to what she is doing. I learned to realize when my dog was becoming overwhelmed so I could intervene and prevent something from happening. My dog hasnt needed a muzzle for almost 4 years now. I live in high rise condo in the middle of Atlanta. She lets strangers love on her in the elevators and at the dog walk. Tail is always wagging! She has come such a long way from then and I am so grateful for Four Legged Scholars!! She also helped train my parents dogs even longer ago! Absolutely amazing!

Our dog, Wick, loves almost everyone, but there were a couple incidents where she was scared of a person and nearly bit them. It was so out of character for her, so it was very scary for us. Wick is our first dog, so we needed help recognizing her triggers and how to better deal with these situations. We did live personalized online one-on-one training sessions with Johanna, and she helped us recognize Wick's body language and taught us techniques to counter-condition her in situations that make her scared. Johanna was great to work with! We're now much more confident realizing when Wick is scared and how to handle it.

I was in need of some dog training for my Pug. He was pulling on the leash, barking at other dogs and people when on walks. Also, he would bark when other people were over and all the attention was not on him. I joked he suffered from FOMO. The live on line training worked wonders for us. The lessons were broken down into manageable tasks and the positive feedback from videos that we made during the week were very helpful. We really enjoyed our sessions.
