        I'm in Salt Lake, saw this great looking cafe near my hotel. Bummed to find out when I arrived that they closed permanently as of December 30, 2022. Best of luck to the owners in their next venture. One star only because they were closed. I'm sure it would've 5 stars if they were open.

        This bakery was the best in salt lake  but Romina  the owner had to make the hard decision to close permanently... she could not hire enough staff due to the aftermath of the pandemic and could  not function and stay open... Romina introduced the first kouingamam pastry in  salt lake  city  but sadly closed at the end of 2022

        Today, on their last day, I declare to all that Les Madeline's has LONG been one of our favorite patisserie in the country. Part of the magic is clear skill and the other is their heart and genuine kindness. One of the favorites has been the kouign-amann which has a beautifully crunchy and sweet exterior and buttery soft layers on the interior that lifts you straight to heaven. Since it is not farewell, we look forward to their next adventure.

      Our pièce de résistance is the beloved Kouign Amann, a rich buttery pastry from Brittany, France that was named 2012 Pastry of the Year by Food & Wine. Try it once and you’ll find yourself craving it again and again. (We were the first bakery west of the Mississippi and third in the US to make and sell these delicious kouign ammans back in 2005!)A variety of cookies, flaky croissants, pastries, buttons (French macarons) and seasonal surprises are also sure to satisfy. Pair your preferred delicacy with a nitro cold brew or cappuccino for the perfect treat.If you’re craving something savory we serve breakfast daily and offer a couple grab and go options for lunch. If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, try our Sesame Chicken Salad.
