My son has been attending for quite some time and loves Master Hugh and the staff. I've watched Master Hugh work, especially with the younger kids and he is fantastic. I'd recommend Kim's Academy of Roy to anyone.

After doing extensive research and trying out a variety of karate through taekwondo studios I can say with confidence Kims Academy of Roy is the best around. Master Hugh, his family, and long term patrons adopt new members in and make them feel welcome. I initially looked for a martial arts studio because my son was being bullied at school. His first time at Kim's Academy, a fellow student, without being instructed to welcomed my son to the dojo and even shared his prize. This happened over two years ago. My family still attends Kim's Academy, I could never imagine how many positive impacts going to taekwondo would do for my family. It's so much more than a check the box studio and pay for a belt as others have around town. Essentially life skills and discipline, tenants of taekwondo,are the core foundation blocks of the studio. I can see them being displayed by instructors and participants daily. There are even more bonuses as well Parent Movie Night , Nerf Gun Night, Movie Night, and so much more. Every holiday is celebrated in some way or fashion. Parents are free with their child.

Great business! Teaches valuable life lessons as well as a fun sport. Helps kids to have confidence and fun as well, in a great environment.
