La Jolla Groves

Ordered a medium rare steak (wagyu) and it came back medium well. I normally wouldn't say something but I did this time. Second steak came back medium to medium well. I kept the second one, but it had no flavor, and required significant amounts of salt to just be tolerable to eat. I won't go back!

I'm very sad. I have frequented La Jolla Groves for many years, yet this last week was a very big disappointment. We had a party of 9 very influential leaders and of course, I wanted them to experience this restaurant. We waited for over an hour and a half to receive all our entrees. This made us late for a critical appointment. The surprising thing was there was only one other table of two people in the whole restaurant. I asked the manager to please give me a call, but they failed to show any interest. I didn't plan to be negative, but try to understand what has happened since I was here just a few months ago. The food was also below par from what I have experienced in over 20 visits. Help me please understand why the quality of our experience was so poor!?

We had booked on Valentines day and it was busy. we had somewhere we needed to be and could not wait. So understandable. La Jolla reached out to us and wanted to make things right and so set up another time for dinner. Who does that now days! Wow, above and beyond! Shows they really care about their customers! The service was top notch, the food was top notch, the atmosphere was great. My wife and I enjoyed the whole experience, we will for sure be back! We eat out a lot and have been just about everywhere, and I would rate this restaurant at the very top of any restaurant in Utah Valley. If you are looking for a great restaurant, especially for a special occasion this is the one!
