Orthodontic Specialists of Utah, Gary A Carter, DDS, MS

I came from a previous orthodontist on referral for my dentist because I had a horrific experience. I was concerned that all orthodontist for the same and that my experience would be the same. I was blown away by the incredibly talented and dedicated staff at this office. Julie, Kellie, Katy, and Dr. Carter are like family, and they treat you as such. Dr. Carter has the additional education for orthodontia: an extra 2 years of medical school! DO NO GO TO AN "ORTHODONTIST" WITHOUT THIS EDUCATION. He was so knowledgeable and uses latest techniques and stays current and relevant on research. Julie is amazing and helps keep track of everything. No need to worry about forgetting your appointment with her! She coordinated the financing and the appointments and is very caring person who makes you feel like a million bucks! I can't adaquately explain how skilled Kellie and Katy are at their job. I got my braces off today and Kellie did one impression of my upper teeth. It was perfect. No gagging. No choking. Nothing. My last orthodontist took impressions four times before it worked! And I was gagging each time. Here, they are fast and so talented. Thank to them, I have perfectly straight teeth and an amazing smile!!

Dr Carter is such an awesome Orthodontist! He really takes the time to listen and answer questions and he is very thorough. His staff is absolutely amazing. Julie runs the front office and is top notch. She has a gift of making everyone who enters the office feel cared for. Kellie and Katie are the best assistants ever. These women work very hard and really know their stuff!! I have had all five of my children get their braces here and would highly recommend anyone in need of braces going here!

I highly recommend Gary Carter and his staff to anyone in need of Orthodontic care. It’s been about 14 years since I wore braces. I wear a permanent bottom retainer, but have not consistently worn my retainer for my top teeth. As Dr. Carter warned, if you don’t wear your retainer, your teeth WILL move. Well my top teeth have moved and fortunately I am lucky it’s not been by too much. But I wanted a retainer fit check to be sure. When I called, the receptionist was so personable. She remembered my family and asked how each of us were. Then told me that Dr. Carter offers lifetime FREE RETAINER CHECKS. I was very satisfied with the service and the help I received at my appointment as well. Dr. Carter is always so friendly and helpful. He offers medical explanations to each observation of your teeth as well and answers all of your questions. Each of the staff members took an interest in my visit and reminded me as I left that, “Once you’re a patient you’re a patient for life.” Don’t hesitate to make Gary Carter’s Orthodontics apart of your healthy smile today!

Horrible receptionist. Does know how to be polite or courteous to anyone who has an emergency. This entire state of Utah need a lesson on how to treat customers. Never going to call them again.

I've been going here for years and the staff has always been extremely professional and helpful. I recently returned from India and my retainer was quite dirty after an extended stay with little way to take care of it. When I got back Dr Carter took care of it and cleaned it up like brand new! I cannot reccomreded this orthodontist enough.
