Yu’s Maple Garden Chinese Restaurant

We hadn't eaten here in a few years. We went, got beef broccoli, house lo mein, a la Carte, as well as a beef &green pepper dinner. The lo main had no flavor, the beef &broccoli was ok but not amazing &the green pepper w/ beef tasted exactly like the beef &broccoli. I ordered the beef w/ peppers cause the menu says its in a spicy sauce&I wanted it different than beef &broccoli but it tastes exactly the same without the broccoli. It's like they're too lazy to make a different sauce. The menu they use apparently is an old one &prices are anywhere from $2.50-$4 more per item. The lady said they're updating the menu but they don't advise you or have any signs to state prices changed. Spent $40 on food that's just ok at he very least. Very disappointing. Will never recommend nor return..

Love the szechwan chicken w/ hot mustard and they have the best Hot and Sour soup. The old building is very cool. Nothing fancy about this place but the food is great.

This is one of the only places I will eat meat at a Chinese restaurant. Most Chinese restaurants seem to use cheap, rubbery meat, both not Maple Garden! Their meat is high quality and cooked to perfection, with a crispy shell. The Szechwan chicken is amazing. It is similar to General Tsaos in flavor, but better. It is marked as spicey, but isnt spicey. I also love their fries wontons. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet, and even has a fish tank and water wall. The lunch combos are a great deal, but keep in mind that they are smaller portions than the dinner portions. Ive included pictures of the Szechwan chicken and pork lo mein lunch specials. I am so glad that Sherrie brought this back after her parents closed the original ones. They have the same great taste (and even chefs)! Parking: It shares parking with the rest of the Union Station, so sometimes the events there make parking difficult. Parking is free and there is other parking nearby, but it may require a bit of a walk if the main lots are filled. Kid-friendliness: There is no kid menu, but there are high chairs and booster seats. We usually order a lunch special for our little one, as the price is similar to kids meals at other restaurants. The staff is really cute with kids!
