We stayed a couple of weeks ago. We arrived at night and did not know the beauty of this place until Morning. It is a jewel. The breakfast is out of the world and is absolutely a place that I would recommend. Waking up to the San Juan River outside your door was the best way to start your day.

All the staff was awesome! Had a blast fishing on the river and hiking all the beautiful trails right outside our door. 10/10 would recommend staying here to anyone.

Tv did not work, wi fi very sketchy, no one available to address tv issues, beds not the worst but definitely need improved, most outlets did not work. Check in staff was barely willing to answer questions, including where to get ice or where our room was. No one available at the front desk to resolve any issues. Update... Spoke with manager this morning regarding issues, was very receptive to the issues and planned to send maintenance to the room once we check out today.

My boyfriend and I randomly booked the San Juan online after a long day of exploring around Monument Valley- and we were so shocked at how gorgeous and unique this place was! It’s a no-frills kind of motel, but who cares! Especially when it’s nestled in the rocks and right on the river with access to explore down there (and donkeys!). The staff was super friendly and gave us lots of information and recommendations on things to do in the area. The restaurant feels so ‘wild west’ - and everything we ordered was delicious. (The fries are so good!) the servers were super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who isn’t an entitled “Karen”, and would get mad that they don’t have the best towels, or something stupid like that.
