I have been doing business for several years with Fastenal under my business names in multiple states and Canadian Territories. So, I decided to stop by and get a couple little things, myself one day, for I have summer home in Farmington. As I do not normally go in or do the ordering, but my employees do at each location used. They do not know who I am and was greeted by a very nice young lady. But when she honestly did not know the answer to a item I was looking for, the question went to a man, who must be the owner by the arrogant way he responded and treated me. I was a little thrown off by this and his poor attitude and demeanor, to who he thought was a simple customer. The man didn't even look at me, let alone see the $75,000 Rolex on my arm. I try to keep my business, with the companies I do business with (5 of your locations in the US and 2 in Canada), but will no longer be doing business with any of them because of the way this man treated me (not knowing I own several building companies, not only in the US and Canada, but the Philippines also). To think, THIS man thinks he can talk to ANYONE like that is just amazing. What world does that meger boy thinks he lives in or that anyone should tolerate him, especially when it comes to business. HE represents you (Fastenal) in such a poor way with a 100 year old form of customer service. I am sorry it has to be this way, but there is no way any of my employees, anywhere, will be treated like that. Too many places to choose from...... I left the Layton location without saying a word, knowing unlike him, I would let the world know how Fastenal does business. You NEVER know whom you are talking to.
