Earth Care Landscaping

We really enjoyed working with Dave and his crew. Dave had a great eye for landscape design. The whole crew was friendly and helpful. They went over future care for the landscape and sprinkler system and guaranteed their work. They finished the yard in the timeframe we had discussed, in budget, and everybody was happy. Would highly recommend to anybody with a landscape project.

Owner did not talk with wife very professionally...just kept saying things take time. Did not develop timeline for job....went past initial completion date without any feedback. Maintenance crews only came over every 2nd or 3rd day to do the work....crews consistently left trash all over yard....and there was complaints from city about the mess the contractor left in the street impeding traffic, contractor took over 2.5 months to do a small yard, caught billing errors on invoices, contractor did not honor coupon for $300 off entire job that was in the October 2020 Ogden City magazine. Contractor let staff off work to go skiing as job was started, focused on other new jobs as well at the same time

When we sold our property, I knew it would be loud when they developed the subdivision next to my house, but I didn't know that people would be so disrespectful to the landowners already there. I went to speak the owner of EarthCare Landscaping, explained how I had to work (Medical Coding) from home now that we are in a COVID-19 pandemic and he assured me that they would stop parking their work vehicles and the topsoil right outside my new office window. He was very personable and told me he'd drop a card off, but never did - and continually ignored my requests for him to move his work vehicles away from my house. I'm sure he obviously couldn't cover up the signs he'd placed in the yards of all his jobs down the street he was working on to show off a great job...so continued parking right outside my window with work crew leaving their trash on my property or on their vehicles so they'd end up falling off into my yard as they drove away and the dirt they didn't bother to sweep away. I do have the pics to show what my experience has been with them and if it continues I may need to go to the city and hit them with a $600 fine to help them realize that what they're doing is NOT acceptable. He's GREAT for the people who have hired him...not so much to their neighbors. So my advice is: if you like your neighbors, don't hire this guy. Also, 2 complaints on the BBB for ignoring customer complaints. Grade C-

Terrible customer service, Very inconsiderate, and rude to neighbors and others around him. He parks his trailer out front of my house for days, when the yard he is actually working on (next door), their driveway and in front of their house is open as can be for the trailer to be parked in front of. I called him in the morning and he said he would move the trailer, then when I arrived 7 hours later the trailer still hadn’t been moved and I didn’t want to block him in, so I called him again and this is when he lost it and went crazy over the phone. He then proceeded to yell vulgarity and rude things to me over the phone before I hung up. He then continued with the same language and rudeness over text messages. If this is the way he runs his business and treats people I would never hire him, nor care to be around such a ignorant human being.
