If you want to find true love, take your date here and request table 1. My fiance took me to Normandie nearly two years ago on our first date, and we keep coming back. I had never been before, but I instantly loved the colorful walls and quiet soundtrack. On the night we went the cafe was crowded but we could still hear each other--which is very important to me. Our service was great and I ate my entire plate of salmon which, if you know me, I rarely ever finish a meal at the restaurant. You could say it was because my date was so interesting that I was distracted, but it was also because the food was so good. We've stopped in at Christmas time when they have their gingerbread house, and on warm summer evenings to eat under the arbor. Every time Normandie has been the perfect romantic setting.

The short of it: Great entrees & desserts, beautiful atmosphere, and a local favorite! We've been eating at this amazing little cafe for YEARS now! Normandie Cafe's Garlic Burger is excellent, their Aujou Beef sandwich is extremely good, especially on a cold day, and, I'm not much of a soup-guy, but we absolutely love their Butternut Squash soup, in particular when dipping their fresh made rolls in it! And the pastries? They're all so good, it's hard to have a favorite! Pay no attention to the bad reviews. Originally, a few years ago, Normandie Café was located a block East, and their food has been excellent from the time they opened their doors, and is still excellent today. You don't stay open this long as a small restaurant with so much competition around it, and become a local favorite without doing something REALLY right!
