AllerVie Health - Draper

Ive been going here for about 5 years. Ive just finished getting allergy shots! Changed my life. I used to have my throat close off around cats within about 15 minutes, but when too much grass pollen started literally killing me I finally had an allergy test and found it was destroying my lungs. I went on immunotherapy at that point. My first shots were so swollen I couldnt bend my elbows! It took about a year to really see serious results, but now, after years of treatment, I barely get the sniffles. Im not on any allergy medication. Dr. Harris is very knowledgeable and has seen everything! Ive been here long enough to be irritated about a few things, sure, but theyre fairly small. I wish theyd call in medication quicker (sometimes they take several days) and I hate that theyre closed Fridays and the weekend which sucks if you need something quickly, but overall theyre amazing!

Excellent receptionists, nurses and amazing doctor. Im convinced Dr. Harris quick actions saved my life. He is concerned, listens and knowledgeable. He is pleasant and patient. He explains why hes giving treatments and testing. Hes amazing!

I came in to this office a few months ago for the first time and it will be my last time. The staff was kind enough but the doctor was so inappropriate. He brought in a student after I had undressed without asking me. The doctor kept pointing out something Im very self conscious about. Its a medical thing, he just kept going on and on about it in front of his student. Even after I had made it clear that I am already going to specialist for the condition, he just kept talking about it. Keep in mind it had NOTHING to do with allergies or asthma. I was so embarrassed. I cant believe I paid a $75 copayment for that horrific experience. Extremely unprofessional.

The staff were professional enough. I personally didnt have a good experience compared to other allergists Ive been to. I came here just to get injections for the summer while visiting from out of town. They will force you to wait the 30 minutes after your injection (9/10 times I do wait but other places allow you to sign a consent if you need to leave early) if you do happen to leave early, they give you a max of 2 times before they dont allow you to get shots anymore so plan accordingly or find a different allergist.

My visit today was the worst experience I have had at any medical office. After expressing my concern with the Dr. he laughed and made me so uncomfortable. He then left the office after I had confided behind closed doors and stood in the hall and laughed and repeated what I had told him and said "good grief." If I could hear him others could have as well. I have never been so embarrassed. If I had not already paid my co payment and been undressed I would have left. Know that if you visit this clinic and they don't agree with your opinions you are probably getting talked about and made fun of.
